What to Wear to a Rave: How to Style Neon Glasses

A good rave outfit does not need ten pieces. It needs one thing people notice across a dark room. Neon glasses do that job, and everything else can stay simple.

Start with the glasses

Pick your glasses first, then build around them. Dark clothes make the light stand out, so a black tee, mesh top or simple co-ord is an easy base. If you already own a bright outfit, choose a colour that matches one detail, such as a belt, bag or pair of laces.

One colour or two?

Single colours read cleanly from a distance and work with almost any outfit. Two-tone pairs are louder and look great in photos. If the rest of your look is plain, go two-tone. If your outfit is already busy, stay with one colour.

Going as a group?

Matching is optional. A group where everyone wears a different colour often looks better than four identical pairs, and it makes it easier to spot each other in a crowd. Our Duo and Crew bundles let you mix any models.

What to pack

  • Spare AAA batteries, because they are not included with the glasses
  • A small bag that keeps your hands free
  • Comfortable shoes you can stand in for hours
  • Your ticket, ID and a charged phone

Before you leave

Check the venue rules, since some places limit what you can bring in. Shutter lenses restrict your view, so take the glasses off when you move through a crowded area, and never wear them to drive or cycle home.
